Woo-Woo Shit

My conscious mind has been self-helping for decades, reading books, listening to podcasts, doing countless hours of talk-therapy and coaching. And while I still love all that, I've discovered something in the last few years. My conscious mind don't know shit.

When my husband died suddenly on August 15, 2023, that world-shattering loss set me on a path of healing and discovery that was more body and soul, less brains. I got into some seriously woo-woo territory (at least "seriously woo-woo" for an accountant), psychedelics, hypnotherapy, energy healing, and shamanic blessings.

Obviously, the idea that wisdom and truth live more in our bodies and souls than in our minds is not new. It's just that I didn't truly grasp that truth or put it into practice until the last few years. Now, I feel a bit like a kid in a self-help candy store. I've healed wounds that I hadn't realize existed. I've realized that I had imagined wounds that don't exist. I've found deeper forgiveness and love for myself and others. My inner child has gone from giving me the cold shoulder to hand-holding and shy smiles.

My conscious mind is blown.

I can't recommend this woo-woo shit enough.
