The Waiting Place

I’ve spent years in the waiting place. Waiting in a career that no longer inspires me, waiting in an unhealthy relationship, waiting until I have more money. It’s the place I go when I know I need to make a change but I don’t have the courage to face it.

It’s a terribly uncomfortable place. It makes my skin crawl, my thoughts nag, my stomach upset, my spirit shrink. My mind, body and spirit demanding to know what the hell I’m waiting for.

Life is precious. I want to honour life by appreciating it, soaking it up, giving it everything I have. Not sitting in my waiting place.

A must read Oh, the Places You'll Go by Dr. Seuss.
